How to submit a successful proposal

What we're looking for

We are interested in workshops that address contemporary conservation issues, showcase innovative solutions and processes in conservation work, focus on issues of diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice in conservation, share best practices, and expand our collective work in novel ways.

If your session is a presentation to sell a specific product or service please see our sponsorship packages at nwlandcamp.org/sponsor.

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice Commitment

We are committed to creating a diverse, inclusive, multicultural conference that is welcoming and fun for all participants. We value and want to center historically marginalized voices.

We encourage people who identify as Black, Indigenous, or other people of color, as well as those who are gender nonconforming, disabled, LGBTQIA+, or from other historically marginalized communities to apply. We are prioritizing speakers with diverse backgrounds as panelists, and workshops with diverse perspectives.

Presenters and Registration Costs

At this time presenters are expected to pay Land Camp registration fees to attend Land Camp. Presenters will receive a 10% discount on registration costs. There are two major exceptions:

  • We have a modest budget to offer travel reimbursement and registration reduction for speakers who are non land trust staff members and are members of marginalized or underrepresented communities as described above

  • Any presenter who is attending Land Camp for their workshop only is not required to pay a registration fee
